Melinda has worked for AYA since 2012, and has been involved with many aspects of the charity during her time here, from volunteer memberships to overseeing the governance, finance and funding side. Together with getting involved with some of the one-off projects, like the Xmas Shop and promotional stands at events. Melinda studied a BA in Applied Graphic Studies which has been beneficial for the marketing aspect of the charity. She brings 15 years’ experience within the business sector and after having a family has been increasingly interested in the community element of the Aylesbury Vale area.
Rafiq holds a BA in Practice Development in working with children and young people, and comes to AYA with experience of working with young people with disabilities and their carers.
He takes the lead in developing our programme of supported volunteering projects for young people in Aylesbury and Wendover, and runs a number of weekly volunteering projects with young children and the elderly.
Administrator and Bookkeeper
Melanie is AYA’s administrator and bookkeeper. Following a career in marketing, she trained as a Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer and now works part time at AYA. She has many years of office and financial administration experience in both large and small organisations.
