Project Leaders x 2

GENERATE PROJECT LEADER: Intergenerational projects

We are looking to appoint an organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual to work with young people on a variety of projects in collaboration with other local community organisations; in particular bridging the gap between young people and the older generation.

BEAMS PROJECT LEADER: Children’s projects

We are looking to appoint an organised, enthusiastic and motivated individual to work with young people on a variety of children’s projects in collaboration with other local community organisations.

Details for both roles:

You will be responsible for the young volunteer’s personal development during projects, regularly evaluating the projects you work with and keeping a good community relationship with project partners. During the project you will need to keep appropriate records, monitor project expenditure and work closely with other team members to ensure that all projects are kept on track. Due to the outreach nature of many of the project locations, you must be comfortable transporting activity supplies and have access to your own vehicle.

The role would particularly suit a proactive and adaptable individual who is looking for their next challenge in youth work and has at least 3 years relevant experience of working within a charity, voluntary or educational setting. An appropriate qualification in working with young people is essential. As many of the projects will be a mix of after school hours during term time, during the day through school holidays and with the occasional weekend work for special events, you will need to be flexible in your working arrangements.

AYA is an equal opportunities employer and welcomes applications from all backgrounds. We regret that the office is currently not wheel-chair accessible, but interviews will be held in accessible rooms.

Please be advised that all applicants need to complete an AYA Application Form which is available for download above or by request from the AYA office. If you would like a copy of the Job Description and Person Specification please ask via email
