Youth Volunteering in Aylesbury

Youth Action Team

At the heart of the Bucks vinvolved team are three teams of volunteers, aged 16-25, who help develop, influence and support the vinvolved team’s activity.  One team is based here at Aylesbury Youth Action, one at Wycombe Youth Action and the other in Burnham.

 

The Youth Action Teams (YATs), with support from v staff get involved in all aspects of developing and improving the quantity, quality and diversity of youth volunteering in Bucks including:

· Promoting volunteering

· Recruiting new volunteers

· Raising awareness of achievements of young people

· Working with organisations to increase youth volunteering opportunities

· Developing new projects to help meet community needs

· Consulting with other young people

 

Each team meets at least once a month and although they work independently regularly meet up throughout the year and for away days and residentials.  Teams are open to young people from all backgrounds and abilities with roles tailored to individual interests, all you need is plenty of enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved!
